The Next Best Thing is a movie that exists. Essentially, Madonna and her GBF played by Rupert Everett have a baby after one CRAZY night. When the kid is like 10, Madonna starts dating Benjamin Bratt. The whole dynamic is thrown! An of course, the kid isn’t actually Everett’s. It’s a whole thing and the movie ends out being pretty sad. I cried twice.

The best part is this great cover of American Pie by Madonna. It actually plays a sweet part in the movie. The music video is insane.
